Questions

Frequently asked questions

Do I need to give my name or contact details to see quotes?

You aren't required to. The quote tool gathers just six data points: your gender, birth date, how you'd describe your health, whether you use tobacco, the death benefit amount you want, and your chosen term. These six answers are all that's needed to generate carrier rates. Personal information—name, address, detailed health history—only comes into play if you decide to move forward with an application.

Are the monthly prices shown the price I will pay?

What you see displayed are the rates that each carrier will quote for the health tier you selected. The actual premium you'll pay gets finalized by the carrier during underwriting, which may confirm the class you chose, move you to a better class, or adjust it. This site is not offering insurance and makes no guarantees about any specific rate or class.

What happens when I click Apply?

After you pick a quote from the carriers shown, you'll move into a secure application with your information already filled in. The carriers run their own secure platform where your application lives. You're able to pause, step away, and come back later to finish. When you're ready, you'll sign electronically. The entire process is managed by Susman Insurance Agency, which holds California agency License 0B75129.

Will I need a medical exam?

That varies depending on the insurance company, the benefit size, and your health answers. Carriers marked Immediate coverage can make decisions quickly on eligible applicants without requiring a medical visit. Each quote you see here indicates whether an exam is required, might be required, or is not needed for that specific product.

Is a longer term better?

A policy period should line up with the years when you'd be financially vulnerable if something happened to you: a home loan, raising kids, building a company, or other major obligations. Longer terms lock in your rate for more years but cost more each month. Shorter terms are cheaper monthly but the rate jumps when you renew. The quote tool lets you look at 10, 15, 20, 25, and 30-year options side by side.

Does this site sell my information?

No. This website does not gather personal information for quoting, does not resell or give away visitor information, and tracks site usage without cookies or persistent IDs. Visit the privacy page to see the full accounting of what gets collected and who accesses it.
